There’s something delightful about the way crisp apples and creamy cheese meet the mild sharpness of spring onions. At first, the flavors seem almost too different to belong together — yet after a quiet rest in the fridge, they soften into harmony, like old friends who’ve finally found their rhythm. This salad is fresh and just a little surprising — the kind of dish that sneaks into your memory and makes you long for it on warm afternoons or cozy evenings alike.

Serves: 4
Preparation time: 1 hour (+ 2-3 hours resting time)
Ingredients
- 1 bunch spring onions
- 1 pinch salt
- 250 g hard cheese (preferably mixed varieties)
- 4 medium apples
- 1 lemon
- 1 packet Knorr Dill Salad Dressing Mix
- 200 ml sour cream
Instructions
Wash the spring onions thoroughly. Finely chop the green stalks and set them aside. Slice the white stalks into pieces about the thickness of a little finger and sprinkle with salt. Cut the cheese and the peeled, cored apples into pieces similar in size to the onion slices. Drizzle the apples with lemon juice to prevent them from browning. Mix the salad dressing powder with the sour cream and fold in the prepared ingredients. Season with the chopped green tops of the spring onions. Cover and let it mature in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours.
Notes
Serve garnished with parsley leaves. Gourmets can add a few drops of honey to taste.
